Guess what? We got MARRIED! We had a "Comittment Ceremony" last September on A Royal Caribbean cruise with a few of our closest friends and looked at that as married enough, since adding our incomes together would have cost us in income tax. But once Matt got his full VA disability, it turns out he can put me on CHAMPUS health insurance. That's huge! I am paying $1300 a month for insurance through the marketplace. Nos that tax implications don't mean as much, so we got legally married April 22! Here is some pics from the cruise as well as our civil ceremony.
The above are from the commitment ceremony, and below the civil:
A few weeks later we drove over to the West coast of Florida to visit with my son and his wife for a couple of days. We explored Clearwater, Dunedin and Palm Harbor. We had a beautiful afternoon at Honeymoon Beach, surprised my son at work at Ocean Hai inside the Wyndham Resort, and hung out with them at their house, had a bit of ice cream. We were quite impressed with the town of Dunedin, it is an underrated Florida destination. Cute shops, a great restaurant called Sea Sea Rider, nice parks and great views of the Tampa Bay.
He's STILL talking about this banana split was!
